We meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month. The members take it in turns to organise a lunch each month. Instructions on how to proceed are given to each member.
The aim is to seek out the unusual and interesting, travelling up to 35 miles from Tiverton in Devon and Somerset, so car sharing will be encouraged.
Group numbers will be restricted to a maximum of 40 on a first-come-first-served basis. From that 40, we would expect 20-25 to attend each time, again on a first-come-first-served basis.
The purists among you may question the educational value of this group, it is, of course, to gain an appreciation of the Devon and Somerset countryside, some of its ancient buildings and its produce, especially the beer and cider and locally sourced foods. Occasionally pub/restaurant proprietors will deliver a history lesson too.
